Khan Academy Lessons

BrainPOP Jr.

  • Access Code:  Free School and Family Access while their campus is closed- Must Create Account  (Schools and teachers can access this site for free while their campuses remain closed, each teacher does not need their own log in, the campus can create one username and password for all teachers to use. Families and students can access this site for free by creating a user name and password through the "family access" button.)
  • Description: Brain POP is accessible through any screen device and a perfect solution for distance learning plans. Brain POP is a group of educational websites with over 1,000 short animated films for students in grades K-12. BrainPOP Jr. is designed specifically for students in K-3. BrainPOP Jr. gently encourages young learners to ask questions and form their own ideas. In addition the site offers quizzes and related materials, covering the subjects of science, social studies, English & Reading, math, engineering and technology, health, and arts and music.

  • Description:  Origo has provided this free resource for guidance and instruction for continuing math learning at home. You'll find daily math activities for each grade level that have full instructions.  Week 1 Lessons are now live.

Hand2Mind

Edmentum (Study Island)

  • Description:  Need access to quality online programming due to school closures? Edmentum would like to provide free program access to Study Island for Home, two free months of access to Study Island, or two free courses in EdOptions Academy to any school or district who has shut down due to this virus.

Blooms level of questioning - Bloom's taxonomy is a set of hierarchical models used to classify educational learning objectives into levels of complexity and specificity. The models were named after Benjamin Bloom, who chaired the committee of educators that devised the taxonomy.

DOK wheel - This is a useful tool, Norman Webb's Depth of Knowledge Levels, teachers can use to create rich environments where all students learn at a high level. Depth of Knowledge(DoK) categorizes tasks according to the complexity of thinking required to successfully complete them.
